Hong Kong’s Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) registered a return of 11.7 per cent in 2020 and annualised return of 4.8 per cent since inception of the MPF System in 2000, according to the MPF Authority (MPFA). The annualised return was 0.7 percentage point higher than in 2019, outperforming the inflation rate of 1.8 per cent over the same period, according to the announcement.
