SUBIC BAY – Members and officers of the Subic Bay Truck Importers Association Inc. have vehemently denied allegations made by certain brokers and processors against the SBMA (Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority) management and its seaport department.
The allegations were raised during a meeting that took place at the SBMA board room on September 29, 2023.
In their letter, the company owners, association officers, and members clearly state, “We profoundly express our full support to SBMA management/seaport department and hereby refute all the malicious allegations and false accusations.”
The signatories emphasize their commitment to adhering to the regulations, policies, and procedures set by SBMA and other related agencies.
They added, “As companies paying duties and taxes to the government, we adhere to the rules and regulations… and would like to replace these unscrupulous brokers/processors who are giving a bad name to the association.”
Leading the list of signatories were Pietro V. Geroue, president of the Subic Bay Truck Importers Association Inc., along with vice presidents Eva Tadus and Shahzad Ammad. The letter was further backed by over 30 members of the association, emphasizing its collective stance.
